Westville Council introduces 2026 budget, approves infrastructure

NJ WESTVILLE — Westville Council introduced its 2026 annual budget while unanimously approving two major capital projects. The council authorized a contract with Landberg Construction for River Drive Walking Path Phase I and approved Change Order No. 2 for water treatment plant modifications addressing PFNA removal through granular activated carbon filtration using USDA funding. Administrator Ryan Giles presented the annual budget framework.
Council also adopted two amendments to the I-4 Light Industrial District use regulations and approved grant application authorization for park improvements at Westville Park under the Community Development Block Grant program. During public comment, resident Antoine Smith expressed ongoing concerns about property conditions at 13 Edgewater Avenue, including stored trucks and alleged boat rental activity; property owner Matt Jameson confirmed boats are stored at his dock but denied rental operations.
