NJ WESTVILLE — Westville Council overrides mayor's veto on backyard chickens ordinance. The Borough Council voted 4-1 on December 15 to override Mayor Fritz Sims, Jr.'s written objections to Ordinance 11-2025, with Council Members Donna Domico, Travis Lawrence, Mandi McCullough and Tracy Van Acker in favor and Council President Bruce Nordaby opposed. The council unanimously adopted Ordinance 15-2025 establishing rental property registration and landlord responsibility requirements.
Council President Nordaby swore in Police Officer Justin McClurg, Jr., and the council nominated Joe Bobiak to fill the seat vacated by Councilman Timothy Young's November 24 resignation.
