NJ WESTVILLE — Westville Borough Council adopts cannabis ordinance and extends property tax payment relief. The Council voted 6-0 to adopt Ordinance 9-2026, permitting different classes of cannabis businesses in the C-3 Business District, with two applications currently in progress. Responding to resident concerns over county property revaluations that significantly increased taxes, the Council unanimously moved the interest accrual date to December 31, 2026, for third and fourth quarter taxes.
The Council also introduced two bond ordinances authorizing $430,000 and $200,000 respectively for municipal and water system capital improvements, and voted to terminate its Shared Service Agreement with Brooklawn for Public Works operations, effective December 31, 2026.
